Insert/Eject Unit

Media are inserted into and ejected from the AML/E through

the I/E Unit. The media are loaded by an operator into bins.

The capacity of the bins are determined by the type of media.

The I/E Unit incorporates a media depository that stores

unidentified volumes, defective media, and used cleaning

devices. See Figure 2-9.
