Drive Reliability Factors 1

The mean interval between failures of the library unit (less the tape

drives) is:

• 185,000 power-on hours (POH) mean time between failures

(MTBF)

• 1,000,000 mean load/unload cycles between failures (MCBF),

where a failure is charged against one or the other, but not both

Quantum|ATL does not warrant that predicted mean interval

between failures is representative of any particular library

installed for customer use. Actual figures vary from library to

library.
